Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture

This is a traditional eastern treatment, where fine sterile needles are inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body, depending on an individuals pattern of disharmony or presenting symptoms.

A pattern of disharmony can occur when the flow of Qi (energy) is hindered in the body, resulting in the development of  symptoms that may be either physical and / or emotional in nature.

The individual patterns of disharmony are identified during the consultation process by questioning and through observation's, which includes tongue and pulse diagnosis.

Once an individual pattern has been identified and a treatment is deemed suitable, then fine needles are inserted into specific acupoints, where the needles are manipulated in order to increase or decrease the flow of Qi and help restore balance in the body.

Acupuncture may help with many different physical & or emotional symptoms and has traditionally been used to help with conditions such as:-

Musculo-skeletal issues, including back pain, sciatica, stiff neck, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, knee pain, hip pain & arthritis. Digestive issues, such as bloating & IBS. Chronic fatigue and tiredness. Headaches, migraines, anxiety, panic attacks, dizziness, palpitations, stress, depression & insomnia. Skin conditions such as eczema, allergies, sinus issues, coughs & colds. Ear nose and throat conditions such as, tinnitus, conjunctivitis & ulcers. Menstruation problems such as infrequent, too frequent or heavy periods, PMT symptoms & infertility. Menopausal symptoms such as, hot flushes, night sweats, aching joints, brain fog, poor concentration, mood changes. Urinary conditions such as cystitis.

Please be advised that symptoms can sometimes worsen before they improve, especially in cases of prologed stagnation of Qi & blood in the meridian channels. Long standing conditions may also take longer to treat than acute conditions.

These are used in conjunction with body points to help achieve the best possible outcome, in the most natural way.

Please be advised that it may take a minimum of 3 to 5 treatments before any visable changes are observed but it is recommended that clients receive 10 treatments combined with body points to achieve best results.
